About Sharjah Airport Travel Agency (SATA)
SATA is fully owned by the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Sharjah and was established in 1984. Started as a small agency to service the passengers travelling through Sharjah International Airport , it became a fully accredited IATA Travel Agency in 2001. In 2011 SATA is one of the fastest growing travel agency in UAE with its Main Office in the Center of Sharjah city and nine branches spread around seven prominent locations of Sharjah – Sharjah International Airport, Rolla Mall, Al Arouba, Al Nahda, SAIF Zone, and Industrial Area and in the Emirate of Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. More branches are planned in other emirates in the near future.
When the industry is undergoing a series of technology driven revolutions, which has changed the way the customers are being served SATA always maintains a forward thinking strategy. Knowing that travel agent is a buffer between the airlines and its customers, SATA continuously analyzes and evaluates airlines decisions and services to offer best possible service to its clients. Right from inception SATA employees have demonstrated the knowledge and skill to consistently provide our clients with the service and advice that have permitted them to fare well in the ever changing travel environment.
SATA is also the General Sales Agent for Nas air, a privately owned low-cost carrier originating from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
